Diagnostics Services Overview

The primary diagnostic service we offer is SPECT imaging. Single Photon Emission Computerized Tomography (SPECT) imaging is a sophisticated nuclear medicine study that is used to evaluate brain function patterns in patients. SPECT captures an image of brain activity as it relates to blood flow. An active area of the brain demands more from the blood supply while an inactive area requires much less. With a SPECT study, a physician can identify which areas of the patient’s brain are overactive (hyperactive), underactive (hypoactive), and those that are functioning normally.
Information from SPECT images provides a cutting-edge diagnostic tool for physicians to use, along with a detailed clinical patient history, and in-depth consultations. As a result, the physicians at Soterion are better equipped to create specific treatment protocols that are unique to the brain function of the patient. Ultimately, our goal is to provide hope for patients who are suffering from neurological and behavioral disorders by providing information physicians can use to create comprehensive, personalized care.
